Arrest killers of catholic priest- Bello orders

Security agencies in Niger state have been directed to apprehend those responsible for the killing of the Parish Priest of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Kafin-koro Reverend Fr Isaac Achi.

State Governor Alh Abubakar Sani Bello gave the directive in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy Mr. Emmanuel Musa in Minna.

Mr. Musa explained said the culprits should be arrested and made to face just to serve as a deterrent to others.

He however condemned in its entirety the rude callous and shocking killing of very Reverend Fr Isaac Achi who until his death was the Parish Priest of Saints Peter and Paul Kafin-koro in Paikoro local government council who was burnt to death by bandits and the entire Parish house burnt down on Sunday.

According to the statement, Governor Abubakar Sani Bello is saddened by this unfortunate incident and condoles the entire Christian Community in Niger state particularly his lordship, Reverend Martin Uzonkwu, and his Auxiliary, Bishop Shuster Gropep over the killing of one of the state’s indigenous and dedicated priest.

He urged the people of Kafin-koro and the entire parishioner of the Church to be calm and allow the appropriate security agencies to continue to search for the killers.
