President Muhammadu Buhari has inaugurated nine projects during his two-day official visit to Katsina State.
The President was accompanied to the project sites by Governor Aminu Bello Masari, the State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Mannir Yakubu and other officials of the state government.
The projects inaugurated by the President include two multi-billion naira underpass bridges at Kofar Kwaya and Kofar Kaura areas, the state Internal Revenue Board, the rehabilitated sections of the State Water Board, rehabilitated sections of General Hospital Katsina and a rice processing mill in established by a business mogul, all in Katsina Metropolis.
He also inaugurated the Metrological Institute in Katsina, a computer institute owned by the state government before it was donated to the Ministry of Aviation in 2021.
Similarly, the President inaugurated the over one hundred kilometer road from Sandamu to Baure to Babban Mutum and another road from Gurjiya to Sandamu to Karkarku which was rehabilitated by the Aminu Masari administration.
President Muhammadu Buhari who was treated to a banquet at the Government House, Katsina, lauded the Masari administration’s Infrastructural development initiatives in sectors such as education, health, water resources and roads.
President Buhari urged Nigerians to vote for credible persons in all elective positions in the forthcoming general election.
The Governor gave a run-down of his administration’s achievements in key sectors from 2015 to date.
Meanwhile, the President is expected in Kano on Monday to inaugurate some projects executed by the state government.
