All of Nigeria’s Football Federation elite Referees, and Assistant Referees, who have been enlisted will on Wednesday, February 1st 2023, be decorated with their FIFA badges, at a ceremony to be held in Abuja.
The arbiters invited to the nation’s capital are those who got listed, or relisted after the last selection exercise conducted by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the Nigeria Football Referees Association (NRA).
Eleven 11-Aside Referees, eleven 11-Aside Assistant Referees, four Beach Soccer Referees, and Five 5-Aside (Futsal) Referees would be decorated with their 2023 badges at the ceremony,
A media releases signed by the Secretary of the NFF Referees’ Committee, and Head of Refereeing Unit at the NFF Sani Zubairu also invited all suspended elite Referees and Assistant Referees in the domestic leagues, to make themselves available, to answer to charges of how they officiated in the 2022/2023 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), and Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL).
