Interfaith Dialogue sues for peaceful 2023 polls

As Nigerians prepare to elect new leaders few weeks from now, the Interfaith Dialogue Forum For Peace, has called on the electorates and politicians to ensure peaceful conduct at the forthcoming elections.

The Co-Chairman of the Organisation, Bishop Sunday Onuoha made the call at the 5th IDFP Conference and General Assembly.

The Conference drew participants from some religions in the country, Diplomatic Corps, Electoral Foreign observers and other relevant stakeholders.In a Presentation on the theme of the Conference, Religion and Ethnicity: Safeguarding the 2023 General Election, a former President, Christian Council of Nigeria, Dr Benebo Fubara-Manuel and his Co Speaker, Dr Saidu Dukawa of Bayero University, Kano both stressed the need for leadership with respect for the nation’s diversity, ethnicity, religious beliefs and affiliations.

A member of one of the partner organisations, KAICIID, Augustin Nunez from KAICIID, tasked the country to sustain her Democratic system as they go about carrying out their civic responsibility come February 25 2023.
