The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been urged to adhere strictly to court judgements in the interest of the nation’s electoral system.
The Director-General of a Civil society organisation, Centre for Credible Leadership and Citizens Awareness, Dr Gabriel Nwambu gave the advice during a news briefing in Abuja.
Dr Nwambu cited the Supreme court ruling on the Leader of the All Progressive Grand Alliance and other election-related matters, saying it was imperative for INEC to reassure the public of its ability to conduct a free fair and credible election.
While expressing the confidence that the technological innovations by INEC would reduce most of the electoral fraud, Dr Nwambu called for all hands to be on deck for a successful polls.
The Director-General urged Nigerians to participate actively, defend their votes to make it count in the forth coming elections.
