New Emir of Dutse, Muhammad Hameem Nuhu Sanusi

Jigawa state Governor, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has approved the appointment of Muhammad Hameem Nuhu Sunusi as the new Emir of Dutse, with effect from Sunday.

The Sarkin Fada of Dutse, Alhaji Wada Alhaji confirmed the development to Radio Nigeria in Dutse,  the state capital.

According to him, the state government will present a letter of appointment to the new Emir by 04:00 pm at the Emir’s Palace, Garu in Dutse.

The New Emir Muhammad Hameem Sunusi succeeds his father, the late Emir Dr Nuhu Muhammad Sunusi, who died on January 31 after reigning for 28 years.

The new Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Hameem Nuhu Sunusi presented with the letter of appointment.

Letter of appointment

Governor Badaru Abubukar of Jigawa state has presented letter of appointment to Alhaji Hameem Nuhu  Sanusi as the 22nd Emir of Dutse. 

The letter was presented to the Emir by the Secretary to the Jigawa state government, Alhaji Adamu Abdulkadir Fanini on behalf of the state government at Emir’s palace in Garu, Dutse.

“On behalf of the Jigawa State Government, His Excellency Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubukar has congratulated HRH Alhaji Hameem Nuhu Sanusi on his appointment and wishes him a successful and peaceful reign as Emir of Dutse”

In his acceptance speech, the new Emir of Dutse Alhaji Hameem Nuhu Muhammadu Sunusi thanked Governor Badaru Abubakar for appointing him as Emir of Dutse.

He also thanked the king makers for their support and allegiance to him as the new Emir.

Until his appointment as Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Hameem Nuhu Sanusi held the title of Dan’iyan Dutse.
