FA to probe Arsenal after objects thrown at De Bruyne

The English Football Association has launched an investigation after Arsenal fans threw objects at Manchester City midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne during Wednesday night’s Premier League game at the Emirates Stadium.

Erling Haaland wrapped up a 3-1 win for the reigning champions, as Arsenal slipped out of the top spot they had occupied since the third week of the season.

Bukayo Saka’s penalty spot-kick had drawn Arteta’s boys level after De Bruyne had struck first for Guardiola’s lads, but goals from Jack Grealish and Haaland secured the three points for the blue half of Manchester.

Wednesday night’s loss by the Gunners is their first at the Emirates this season; but it also came on the back two straight unimpressive outings in the league, namely, 1-0 away loss to Everton and a 1-1 draw at home against high-flying Brentford.

Manchester City, by virtue of Wednesday’s victory, now top the table on goal difference, although Arsenal, who will play against Aston Villa in Saturday’s early kick-off, have a game in hand.
