The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Farouk Yahaya has urged officers and men of the service posted to assist in the forthcoming General Election to display a high level of discipline in their conduct and ensure a safe and conducive environment for the election.
He stated this in Abuja in a message to this year’s 15 Kilometer walk of the Army Headquarters Garrison Annual Physical Efficiency Text for all personnel of the Army serving in Abuja and its environs.
General Yahaya said physical efficiency text would ensure that all personnel are physically and mentally healthy to carry out the security duties effective.
Represented by the Chief of Transformation and Innovation, Army, Major General Zakari Abubakar, the Chief of Army Staff urged all personnel to be apolitical during and after the elections and ensure that no citizen’s right is abused.
