Despite Chelsea’s poor form, manager Graham Potter has received overwhelming support from the club’s chairman, Todd Boehly, and the club’s board.
Potter’s tenure as Chelsea manager has been difficult, with the Blues winning only two of their last 14 games in all competitions.
Despite the lack of positive results after spending so much money in the January transfer window, Chelsea’s owners have stated that hiring Potter was part of a long-term plan.
The board believes the team needs time to blend with the arrival of eight new players in January alone.
Chelsea hierarchy also believed that injury to key players have impeded the progress of the team and expressed optimism that with time, the good results will start flowing and return the club to its glory days.
