A 16 year old high school student, has stabbed a teacher to death in France.
The incident happened in the French town of Saint-Jean-de-Luz.
The Spokesperson for the French Government, Olivier Véran who confirmed the incident happened on Wednesday said the student has been arrested.
BBC reports that the attacker entered the classroom while the teacher was giving a Spanish class and attacked the 50 year old teacher.
It says the attacker locked the classroom door and stabbed the teacher in her chest.
According to the BBC, Local prosecutor Jerome Bourrier said an investigation had been opened by local police for assassination
France’s Education Minister Pap Ndiaye has described the attack as a tragedy.
