TUC urges workers to vote wisely

The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, (TUC) has called on workers and their civil society allies in all states of the Federation and 774 LGAs to be vigilant and vote wisely in the 2023 General Elections.

In a statement released to newsmen in Abuja, by its President, Comrade Festus Osifo and Secretary General, Comrade Nuhu Toro, it encouraged members to turn out enmass to vote on Saturday Presidential and National Assembly elections and be law abiding.

TUC reminded workers that Labour Party belong to the working class in Nigeria and appealed to every worker to vote for the Labour Party Presidential Candidate Mr Peter Obi and Dr Datti Baba-Ahmed and other candidates of the party during the elections.

The statement therefore charged workers to conduct themselves in a peaceful manner during the elections, especially in the post-election period.

The TUC advices all politicians to keep to the tenets of democratic practices and play by the rules democratic governance.
