Imo state Governor, Hope Uzodinma
The Imo state Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma has called on the people of the South-East to ignore the threat by some non-state actors to stop Saturday’s election in the region.
Senator Uzodinma, in a statement, urged the people to “come out en masse” to exercise their franchise “without fear”.
The Imo state Governor said efforts to stop the people of the South-East from coming out to vote was “not in the interest” of the region.
He said security agencies would be “on the ground” across the region to ensure that the “process is safe, free and fair”.
