President Muhammadu Buhari says Asiwaju Tinubu’s victory at the polls will sustain the momentum of development pursued by his administration.
Receiving Asiwaju Tinubu and his running-mate in Daura, the President said he was pleased that the people chose the APC and its candidates, assuring Nigerians that the Duo would be fair to all sections of the country.
He thanked the Almighty for preventing loss of lives, occurrence of accidents, as well as chaos throughout the period of the election.



The President also commended party supporters and the Presidential Campaign Council for working towards victory, which he said would never have been possible without discipline, commitment and hard work.
President-elect Asiwaju Tinubu, in an interview, said as loyal party men, he and the Vice-President-Elect came to present their certificates to the President, in his capacity as party leader, and to commend him for his efforts at supporting democracy in Africa.
