President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Maiduguri, the Borno state capital on a day working visit.
The Presidential jet touched down at 11:10 in the morning on Thursday where he inspected a guard of honour by the Nigerian military.

President Buhari and his entourage proceeded to Shehu of Borno’s Palace for the traditional homage.
From the Shehu’s palace, the President would visit the Maiduguri Monday Market which was gutted by fire on Sunday morning.
The President is expected to commission projects executed by the Borno State Government which include Lafiya and Mogoram roads, new Bama motor park and market which has 475 shops, doctors quarters at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital.
Also to be inaugurated by the President is the Cancer Centre at the Teaching Hospital and lastly the 50 megawatts Emergency Power Plant.
The power plant will provide reliable and sustainable electricity to Maiduguri and environs.
President Buhari is accompanied on the visit by the Vice President-Elect Senator Kashim Shettima, Minister of Power Abubakar Aliyu and that of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Hajiya Sadiya Farouq.
