Corps Member who died in Lagos train accident buried

A National Youth Service Corps member, Miss Oreoluwa Aina, who died in the Lagos train accident which occurred on Thursday March 9, has been buried.

28-year-old miss Aina was among the six victims who were confirmed dead by the State Government.

The late corps member, who was serving with the Curriculum Services Department of the Lagos State Ministry of Education in Alausa was buried at Atan cemetery in Yaba Area of Lagos.

A delegation of the State Government led by the Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo was present at the burial and the State Coordinator of NYSC, Mrs. Yetunde Baderinwa as well as family members of the deceased.

Mrs Adefisayo conveyed the heartfelt condolences of the state government and the people of the state and well-wishers to the families and prayed God to grant the departed souls eternal rest and the families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

On Thursday March 9, 2023, a passenger train crushed a Lagos State Government staff bus on its way from Ikotun en route to Alausa, the state secretariat, at the Shogunle area of the state killing six persons and 32 others wounded.
