Borno guber candidate cautions against violent elections

The Governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Borno state, Captain Ben Mshelia has cautioned against violence and bloodletting as strategies for winning the forthcoming election.

Addressing newsmen in Abuja, the candidate expressed concerns over the alleged comments made by a candidate promoting violence ahead of the poll billed for Saturday.

Captain Mshelia said it was more honouable to win peacefully.

The Labour Party candidate said he was in the race to work for the development of Borno state through good governance and the provision of critical infrastructure across all zones of the state.

He however lamented over what he called the neglect of Southern Borno, vowed to bring development to the nooks and crannies of the state and not just focusing on Maiduguri, the state capital.

While commending the improved security situation in the state, Captain Mshelia however frowned at the retainment of IDP camps.
