Ten people have been killed following gunmen attack in Zango Kataf local government area of Kaduna State.
National President of Atyap Community Development Association (ACDA), Dr Samuel Achie said the killings were carried out on Tuesday night, in Langson community, Mabushi of Zango Kataf.
He also said it was the second of similar attacks in a stretch of 3 days, noting that the first occurred in Ungwar Wakili last Saturday which left 17 persons dead.
The community leader alleged that the unprovoked attacks have left residents concluding that it was targeted at instilling voter apathy and possible disenfranchising the people ahead of the gubernatorial and state house assembly scheduled for Saturday.
Dr Achie added that there is an urgent need for conscious security efforts to curbing the killings in Zango Kataf.
Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, Mohammed Jalige when contacted on phone by Radio Nigeria did not comment on the killings.
