In Nasarawa
Thugs attacked five polling units in Agaza electoral ward of Keana Local government area of Nasarawa State.
A Journalist with a private broadcast station, Mr Edwin Phillip was allegedly attacked by a security personnel while covering the governorship and state assembly assembly.

Radio Nigeria gathered that 2 suspects have already been arrested in connection with the attack.
The reporter, in his Facebook page, wrote a brief message about the attack.
“This was done by a NSCDC officials on the order of Adon gari Lafia, On polling unit 061,Chiroma ward, while covering the Governorship and State House Assembly elections”.
Meanwhile, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for timely distribution of Election Materials to various polling units across the State.
Governor Sule though lauded Security Agencies, local and foreign observers as well as the Electorates for the peaceful conduct of the election, but expressed worry that five polling units were attacked.
At the 002 Motor Pack Polling unit, Gudi his Country home, the Governor called on candidates who are participating in the polls not to take the exercise as a do or die affairs but to accept the outcome of the election as the will of God.

In Katsina
The Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic,Party, PDP, Senator Yakubu Lado cast his vote at Danmarke ward in Kankara Local Government Area which recorded high voter turnout.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after casting his vote, Senator Lado alleged that thugs had invaded many polling units in the Local Government Area and carted away some ballot boxes.
In Niger
The All Progressives Congress APC Governorship candidate in Niger state, Alhaji Umar Mohammed Bago has expressed satisfaction over the peaceful conduct of voters throughout the state during the Governorship and State House of Assembly election.
He was speaking after casting his vote at polling unit 011 in Tswashagi Raba, Bida Local Government Council of the state.
Alh Umar Mohammed Bago maintained that the election was peaceful, orderly transparent, free and fair and therefore applauded INEC for the success.

In Bauchi
The Governorship candidate of People’s Redemption Party, PRP, in Bauchi State, Ahmed Umar Faruq, has cast his vote at 12:08 pm.
Ahmed Faruq described the accreditation and voting process as stress-free, commending the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC for improving the Bio-Modal Voter Accreditation System, BIVAS.
He said improving the newly introduced technology, indicated that INEC had listened to the cries of Nigerians who experienced difficulty with the BVAS during the Presidential and National Assembly election.

In Niger
The Gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Niger State, Isah Liman Kantigi has cast his vote at his Kantigi 005 polling unit of Idati Local Government Council of the state.
Alh Isa Liman Kantigi said even though he was impressed with some of the steps taken by INEC, the electoral umpire still needs to correct some lapses to enhance its credibility.

In Jigawa
The gubernatorial candidates of the three political parties in Jigawa state have voted in their various polling units.
The APC candidate in the State, Mallam Umar Namadi casted his votes at Imam Hassan Islamiyya 012 polling unit, Kafin Hausa ward at exactly 11:3 am.

He said the governorship and state Assembly has witnessed changes and improvements compared with what was obtained in the presidential and National Assembly elections.
Also, the PDP candidate, Mustapha Sule Lamido exercised his franchise at Bamaina Primary 002 polling unit in iyako ward, Birnin Kudu local government are, where he expressed satisfaction over the voting process and voter turnout.

The PDP flag bearer however noted that they have received reports thugs allegedly imported into the state to cause trouble during the election.
Oh his part, the New Nigeria People’s Party candidate, NNPP, Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, cast his votes at Marakawa 08 polling unit in Ringim ward, Ringim local government.
He expressed satisfaction on the high turnout of people and urged his supporters to conduct themselves in an orderly manner and vote peacefully.
In Kwara
Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the Governorship and State House of Assembly elections across the state.
AbdulRazq after casting his ballot at Idigba Polling Unit 004 of Adewole Ward in Ilorin West local government area of the state, urged voters to come out to exercise their franchise.

In Niger
Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC for making the Governorship and State House of Assembly elections seamless.
The Governor stated this after casting his vote at the Mustapha Alkali Polling Unit, in Kontagora local government Area of the state.

2:05: In Kebbi
Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State, has expressed satisfaction with the massive turn out of voters at the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in the state.
The Governor was speaking to newsmen shortly after casting his vote at MaiAlelu polling unit in Nasarawa ll ward Birnin Kebbi.
He commended the massive turn out of women and youth for the election as well as INEC for the early supply of voting materials.

1:21 pm: In Bauchi
Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has expressed readiness to accept the outcome of Saturday’s Gubernatorial Election.
Bala Mohammed stated this after casting his ballot at his hometown, polling unit 008 Bakin Dutse Duguri in Alkaleri Local Government Area of the State.
He called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and relevant stakeholders to ensure credibility of the entire process.

1:12 pm: In Kano
As Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje cast his ballot at the Cikin Gari Ward in Ganduje town, Dwakin Tofa Local Government area of the State; he urged residents to continue exercising their civic responsibilities peacefully to move the state forward.

12:58 pm: In Kaduna
Governor Nasiru El-rufai of Kaduna State has said the voting process in the governorship and house of Assembly is smooth.
After casting his vote at polling unit 024 Unguwan Sarki Kaduna North local government; the Governor said the election process was generally peaceful across the state except in the few places of Southern Kaduna where he got report of Voters intimidation because people are being asked to vote for a periocular party or to go back home.
12:57 pm: In Ebonyi
Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has voted in Onuofukuru polling unit 003 in Umunaga ward 3 in Uburu Ohaozara Local Government Area of the state.
Chief Umahi who voted by 11am, commended INEC for conducting an orderly Election.
He said reports from across the state indicate that the election was generally peaceful and urged security agents to ensure there was no breach of peace in any part of the state.

12:49 pm: In Zamfara
Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle has called on the electorates to be orderly while exercising their civic right of electing new leaders.
The Governor made the call shortly after casting his vote at Dan Filin buga buga polling unit 012 in his hometown Maradun at 11:30 am.

12:32 pm: In Borno
The Borno state Governor, Babagana Zulum has commended INEC for the improvement in the voting and electoral process.
The Governor cast his vote at Ajari 1, 006 in Mafa Local government area.

Zulum observed that distribution of materials, accreditation and voting commenced early compared to that of Presidential and national assembly elections.
12:14 pm : In Bayelsa
Governor Douye Diri and wife Mrs Gloria Diri voted at their polling unit in ward 6, unit 4 Kalama Owei Sampou.
In an interview, Governor Diri said he was satisfied with the early arrival of materials but condemned the destruction of materials in Ogbia constituency 2, ordering security agents to fish out the perpetrators and bring them to book.

11:45 am: In Lagos
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has exercised his franchise.
He enjoined voters in the state to turn out en mass to make their voices heard.

11:06 am: In Kano
The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kano, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, has cast his ballot at his polling unit in Gawuna.

Gawuna commended the efforts of INEC officials for providing voting materials promptly and stressed that with the security architecture on ground, there is a tendency of having hitch-free elections.
10:42 am: In Yobe
The Governor of Yobe State, Maimala Buni cast his vote at polling unit 004 Bulturam/Yarimary ward.

9:22 am: In Ebonyi
The APC Governorship Candidate, Chief Francis Nwifuru has cast his vote at Odukwuokemini polling unit 002 at Oferekpe Primary school in Izzi Council Area of the State.
In an interview, Chief Nwifuru commended INEC for a seamless exercise as the BVAS worked perfectly.

8:50am: In Osun
The Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke has cast his ballot at Ward 2, unit 9 Ede, in the Ede North Local Government Area of the State.
The Governor appreciated the voters for coming out in their numbers to exercise their franchise and urged them to be peaceful as well as be law abiding.
