Guinea-Bissau has broken record, making its first-ever win against the Super Eagles after an encounter that ended in 1-0.
A 26th minute goal was the jinx breaker in a Group A 2023 AFCON qualifier on the pitch of Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja on Friday.
The first meeting of the teams was at the 2021 AFCON where the Super Eagles thrashed Guinea-Bissau 2-0 in a group stage game.
The result means Guinea-Bissau are now on top of Group A with 7 points from three games, while Nigeria are in second position with 6 points from the same number of games.
