Nigeria beats Guinea-Bissau 1-0

Moses Simon scored the goal in the 30th minute of play.

The 2nd encounter of the Super Eagles and the Guinea-Bissau national team has ended in victory for Nigeria with a 0-1 scored.

Super Eagles were no doubt in their best outing, obviously to redeem their name following the defeat they suffered from Guinea-Bissau on Friday at the first leg of the AFCON Qualifier.

Just as the previous match ended in 1-0 with the victory on the side of Guinea-Bissau, Monday’s match ended likewise but with the victory for the Super Eagles.

Midfielder, Moses Simon saved the day, maintaining ‘Super’ in the name of the Eagles by scoring the goal in the 30th minute of the match, firing a penalty kick which goalkeeper Jonas Mendes, dived to but could not save.

Changes in the match

In high spirits, both teams charged in the second half, making changes that boosted the tempo of the game making changes in the course of the game, Super Eagles; Wilfried Ndidi and Ahmed Musa replaced Samuel Chukwueze and Moses Simon.

The Guinea-Bissau team had; Jardel and Zinho Gano replace Jorge Braíma and Mama Baldé.

Guinea-Bissau; Piqueti replaces Jorginho and Joe Aribo replaces Terem Moffi for the Super Eagles.
