Court stops Labour Party national officers from acting as such

National Chairman of the Labour Party, Julius Abure

A Federal Capital Territory High Court has issued an order restraining the National Chairman of the Labour Party, Julius Abure; National Secretary, Farouk Ibrahim and two others from parading themselves as national officers of the party.

Others against whom the restraining order was issued include the National Organising Secretary, Clement Ojukwu and two others.

Justice Hamza Muazu issued the order on Wednesday in Abuja while ruling in an ex-parte application filed by Chief James Ogwu Onoja (SAN).

Chief Onoja had in the application informed the court how the restrained national officers allegedly forged several documents of the FCT High Court to carry out unlawful substitutions in the last general election.

In a brief ruling, Justice Muazu held that the application and the supporting affidavits were “a good case” for granting the request.
