The Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC, has disowned the “Northern IPAC Chairmen Forum by its Plateau state Chairman, Abubakar Dogara, stating that it is illegal and unknown to IPAC Code of Conduct.
A statement signed by the National Secretary, IPAC, Yusuf Mamman Dantalle in Abuja has asked Dogara to explain why a disciplinary action should not be taken against him for the formation of the illigal body.
“It is a clear violation of the Council’s Code of Conduct, which only provides for National, States and Local Government Areas structures, and issuing a press statement which was outside his jurisdiction using the same illegal body on matters of national interest already addressed by national leadership of IPAC”
IPAC therefore directed Dogora to respond to the query within 48 hours or face disciplinary action along with other officials found culpable in this gross misconduct.
It warned all stakeholders to desist from any dealings with the purported forum.
The statement also urged security agencies, INEC Chairman, National Chairmen of Political Parties, Inspector General of Police, Director General of Department of State Service (DSS) and Civil Society Organizations to take necessary action.
