Eight killed in fresh Bandit attack in Kaduna

Another  attack by bandits on the Atak’Njei community in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State has reportedly claimed the lives of eight persons.

The State Police Command has not yet commented on the incident.

However, the President of Atyap Community Development Association, Sam Timbuwak told newsmen that the gunmen invaded the community from a nearby bush at about 9 pm on Wednesday and randomly opened fire on people’s houses.

He said the bandits attacked five houses, shooting eight people dead and wounding four others.

Mr Timbuwak decried the late arrival of soldiers to the scene despite close proximity between the place of the incident and a military checkpoint.

He urged security agencies to be intentional with their responsibilities and fish out those behind the series of attacks in Atyapland.

Just recently, Langson community in the same local government area suffered an attack that claimed the lives of 10 people.
