Norway has expelled 15 Russian officials for allegedly spying under diplomatic cover.
In a statement, Norway’s Foreign minister Anniken Huitfeldt said Norway would resist any attempt by Russia to use its embassy to carry out covert operations.
The BBC quoted Norwegian authorities as saying that the expelled officials had been under close monitoring for a while before they were declared persona non grata.
Norway said the expelled officials should immediately leave the country as Russia poses enormous intelligence threat.
