A Chinese trapeze artist has died after falling to her death during a performance on Saturday.
The acrobat woman, named Sun, fell during a flying-trapeze performance in the city of Suzhou in central Anhui province.
Footage on social media showed the gymnast falling onto a hard stage after a routine went wrong with her acrobatic partner.
Ms Sun fell from a significant height after the male gymnast failed to catch her with his legs during a transition.
Her partner is her husband, Zhang with whom she shared two children.

She was taken to hospital where efforts by doctors to save her life failed.
The BBC reports that investigation into the incident has commenced.
