Group empowers indigent persons in the FCT

A Non Governmental Organization, Peculiar Rescue Foundation, has distributed cash gift, food materials, cloths and other items to over 600 indigents persons to cushion the effect of economic hardship on them.

At the presentation of the items in Abuja, the president of the NGO and General overseer of Peculiar God’s Glory Ministry, Abuja, James Hephzibah, decried the increasing rate of poverty in the country.

The Cleric appealed to government and well meaning Nigerians to always support the less privileged irrespective of religious, political or tribal affiliation.

Mr Hephzibah stressed that God rewards services to humanity and called on the people to always exemplify love for the growth of the society.

Some of the beneficiaries, Peculiar Baba and Mercy Isaac, appreciated the kind gesture of the Foundation and promised to use the funds judiciously.

They also appealed to the government and wealthy individuals in the society to support them with soft loans which they said would alleviate their plights.
