PDP challenges governorship results in Kebbi

The gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State, Aminu Bande has vowed to take legal action against the outcome of the just concluded governorship election in the state.

“We are going to pursue this election to the logical conclusion”, Bande said in reaction to the declared result of the election by INEC. We believe the judiciary is the end of the judgement for any election therefore we are going to court” PDP candidate stated.

Bande however called on the party supporters to be law abiding and remain calm and ensure peace in the state and cautioned the current Bagudu led administration to stop witch-hunting civil servants that supported the PDP during elections.

Meanwhile, Kebbi State governor-elect Idris Nasiru says he would transform the state to a model for other states through the provision of infrastructure.

Nasiru stated this while speaking to newsmen shortly after been declared as winner of the gubernatorial election.

He explained that the state needed more development in infrastructure that would attract investors to the state for economic development.

On agricultural development, the governor-elect gave assurance to provide farmers with fertilizers, model farm implements as well as security on farmlands to secure food production in the state.

Nasiru, promised to focus on improved security, girl-child education, health care services and improved civil service among others.
