President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the immediate suspension of Adamawa State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) Hudu Yunusa Ari, from office pending the completion of investigation by the Inspector General of Police on the conduct/actions of the REC during the Supplementary election in Adamawa State.
in a statement by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, the President, also directed the immediate investigation and prosecution, of Hudu Yunusa if found liable, by the Inspector General of Police.
Hudu Yunusa Ari is facing a huge bribery allegation, for declaring Aishatu Dahiru Binani, the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), the winner of Adamawa state governorship election while results collation process was not completed.
