Vietnamese Envoy seeks stronger relations with Nigeria

President Muhammadu Buhari and the outgoing Vietnamese Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Luong Quoc Thinh,

The outgoing Vietnamese Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Luong Quoc Thinh, has canvassed a mutual relationship between the Communist Party of Vietnam, and the All Progressive Congress (APC).

The Ambassador sought for the collaboration between the two parties when he paid a farewell visit to President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.

Ambassador Thinh congratulated President Buhari on the successful conduct of 2023 general elections, devoid of crises.

While complaining that the Covid-19 pandemic affected a good part of his stay in the country, Ambassador Thinh lauded President Buhari on how his administration admirably tackled the global health challenge, and recovery of the economy.

President Muhammadu Buhari thanked the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for its support in areas of security and economic development, expressing the wish that bilateral relations between the two countries will continue to grow.

The President wished the Ambassador well in his next assignment.
