President-Elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after more than a month overseas.
His aircraft arrived the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at 04:30pm on Monday.
Asiwaju Tinubu, who returned with his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, was received by the Vice-President-Elect, Kashim Shettima; Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong as well as many other high-ranking members of the All Progressives Congress.
The President-elect had in March travelled to France to plan his transition programme and at the same time take some rest after an exhausting campaign and election.
“The president-elect had left the country through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja,” the statement noted.
“The president-elect decided to take a break after the hectic campaign and election season to rest in Paris and London, preparatory to going to Saudi Arabia for Umrah (Lesser Hajj) and the Ramadan Fasting.” The APC presidential campaign council noted.
He received a presidential welcome from a crowd of supporters who had been waiting for his return to the country.
