Bura Concerned Citizens addressing Journalists in Abuja

A Socio Cultural Organisation, Bura Concerned Citizens has commenced mobilization for a member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing Biu, Bayo, Kwaya Kusara and Shani Federal Constituency of Borno State, on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), Muktar Aliyu Betara for the position of Speaker in the 10th National Assembly.
The Chairman of Bura Concerned Citizens, Comrade Useni Ndahi at a media briefing in Abuja said Betara’s is well experienced with capacity and good character, he would build bridges regardless of party affiliations in the 10th Assembly.
‘’No doubt, the choices of leadership and public office holders have remained in all democracies veritable instruments for achieving national progress. It is therefore based on this that the Bura nation having gone through, tested and experienced the leadership style, representation and impacts made by Right Hon Mukhtar Aliyu Betera who was recently reelected for the fifth term in the national assembly’’.
Comrade Ndahi said Betera was one of the most senior legislators and has served as chairman in various committees such as the NDIC, Banking & Currency, Interior, Army, Defence and presently appropriation.
He called on members-elect of the 10th Assembly across states, zones and parties to support Muktar Aliyu Betara for the position of the 10th Speaker, House of Representatives.
Presenting a paper on why Nigeria need Aliyu Betara, a member of the Board of Trustees of Bura Concerned Citizens, Mohammed Ahmadu said Betara, is a seasoned democrat, who has built solid bridges across the Niger and has invested his life and time to the development, promotion of peace and harmony, justice and equity amongst not just his colleagues, but Nigerians at large.
’’Having been elected for the record of 5th term and has chaired many committees within the House, Betara, is an embodiment of legislative experience, discipline in leadership, ability to seamlessly navigate legislative hurdles and deliver results within time to Compliment the executive decision making is what will Characterize the House of Representatives under his leadership as a Speaker if elected.”
Aliyu Betara explained that being a senior legislator with wealth of experience, can comfortably preside over the affairs of the House.
