Cleric sue for peace as church marks 13th Synod

The Methodist Church Nigeria, Nyanya Diocese has called on all Nigerians to uphold Integrity, peace and love, irrespective of their faith to promote harmony and nation building.

At the 13th Synod of the Church in Abuja, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha advised Nigerians to put aside grudges and pains of the last election and focus on activities that will enhance national cohesion.

Represented by a Director in the Office of the SGF, Mr Ifiok Abia, urged citizens to focus more on their common values, and shun distractors whose aim is to cause disunity thereby, slowing down development.

He expressed satisfaction with the level of accountability and transparency exhibited by the leaders of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Nyanya Diocese during presentation of annual report and advised stakeholders in both Private and Public sector to emulate the principles of Sincerity in their dealings.

“What I so appreciated was the level of transparency the Methodist Church presented it’s income and expenditures, and I will like each individual, Stakeholders in both Public and Private sector to emulate them in the interest of our Nation’s”. SGF stated.

Bishop of the Diocese, Right Reverend Kehinde Adeyemi went back memory lane on challenges experienced by Nigerians in the last 8 years, called on the President-Elect, Bola Tinubu to ensure equal distribution of Resources and appointment to stem the level of Anger among the minority in the Country.

A Retired Archbishop of the Abuja Diocese, His Grace, Most Reverend Chimaraoke Iweha, urges leaders to promote national interest above personal gains.

The program with the theme; Contending for the Faith, featured launching of Synod Book with other side activities by Boy’s Brigades.
