The White House says, international travelers would no longer be mandated to provide proof of covid vaccination on arrival in the US.
The mandatory proof of vaccination will be lifted on May 11 which will coincide with the end of the coronavirus public health emergency in the country.
For contractors, federal employees, and non-US travelers entering via land ports and ferries, the vaccination requirements will also be waived.
One of the few countries where pandemic travel restrictions are still in effect is the US.
“We are now in a different phase of our response, when these measures are no longer necessary”, the White House said in a statement on Monday,
