Theatre Commander Operation Hadin Kai and other Senior Officers with the rescued Chibok girls

The Theatre Commander Operation Hadin Kai Major General Ibrahim Ali has handed over two rescued Chibok girls including the one that recently delivered to Borno state government to rehabilitation and subsequent reintegration with the families.
The two girls are 26 year old Esther Marcus and another 26 year old Hauwa Maltha.
Presenting the girls to journalists at the headquarters Theatre Command Operation Hadin Kai, Major General Ibrahim Ali said the girls were rescued on 21st April in Sambisa Forest.
According to him, Hauwa Maltha was rescued with eight months, two weeks pregnancy and delivered a baby boy on 28th April at the 7 Division hospital.
The Theatre further explained that Hauwa married three different Boko Haram fighters and have all lost their lives during encounter with the military in the Lake Chad and Sambisa Forest.
As for Esther Marcus, General Ali said when in captivity was forcefully married to a Boko Haram fighters known as Garus who was killed during offensive Operation and was later married to one Abba in Ukuba.
He remarked that both girls have undergone thorough medical examination alongside their children.
“I was assure members of the public and the people of the Northeast that Operation Hadin Kai remain resolute and determined in neutralising all vestiges of terrorist elements as well as criminals marauding the region and return total and long lasting peace to the region” General Ali added.
In an interview with newsmen, Esther Marcus and Hauwa Maltha who expressed delight with their rescue, explained that the military rescued them when they went out to fetch water in the Forest.
With this two rescued girls, this now brings the number of rescued Chibok girls to 16.
