A Teenager, identified as Iro Kwarangwal of Karshen Kwalta, Rimin Kebe in Kano metropolis, has allegedly stabbed his biological mother to death.
Eyewitnesses told Radio Nigeria that Iro killed his mother, Jummai, on Wednesday night following a domestic dispute.
One witness, Muhammad Abdu, a neighbour to the deceased, said the ugly incident occurred around 5:30PM.
““I was standing outside my house when I suddenly heard screaming from the deceased’s residence,” Mallam Abdu recounted.
He said that upon rushing in to help, “we found the deceased, who was stabbed several times with a knife, screaming for help.”
According to the Eyewitness, the suspect fled the scene shortly after committing the act.
He said Jummai was later taken to hospital in a Tricycle and with blood all over her body. She was pronounced dead on reaching hospital.
“We’re on our way to the cemetery now for burial,” he said. “May Allah forgive her and admit her in paradise,” he prayed.
When contacted, Police Spokesperson in Kano, SP Abdullahi Haruna confirmed the incident and promised to furnish our correspondent with the details as soon as they reach him.
