Osimhen powers Napoli to first Scudetto in 33 years

Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen smashed in a 52nd-minute equaliser after Sandi Lovric had given Udinese a shock lead at the Dacia Arena to spark wild jubilations back at Naples on Thursday.

Napoli only needed a point from the game against Udineseheld to win their third Serie A title with five games to spare.

They last won the league in 1990 with a Diego Maradona-inspired side adding to their first title back in 1987.

Osimhen told DAZN”It is an amazing feeling, we have waited so many years for this moment”.

“To be able to deliver the Scudetto to the Neapolitans is something that we will never forget in a hurry and will continue to live in our hearts for the rest of our lives.”

The Super Eagles forward has notched 21 goals in 26 league games while Georgia winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has contributed 12 goals and 10 assists.

The club from Naples have 5 matches left in the Serie A.
