Bauchi State Command of the Nigerian Hunters and Forestry Security Services has nabbed about one hundred and fifty youths suspected to be the hoodlums terrorizing communities in the state capital.
The Service has also arrested trucks and buses loaded with bags of charcoal belonging to some various offenders of the State Forests Conservation Act.
The State Commander of the Service, Aliyu Umar Shayi disclosed this in Bauchi while briefing journalists on the development.
Aliyu Umar Shayi explained that the youths comprising males and females and mostly under the age of twenty-two were arrested with dangerous locally made weapons on a trip to Yankari Games Reserve.
According to him, preliminary investigations revealed that while at the Yankari Games Reserve, the suspects may use the opportunity to interacts with their counterparts from neighboring Plateau and Gomber states to strategize on their unlawful activities.
The commander further said, the suspects would be handed over to Police for continuation of investigations and possible prosecution.
