Premier league and La Liga giants Manchester United will play Real Madrid in a pre-season friendly when they tour the US this summer.

The last meeting between the two sides in the USA was in 2014 as they played in front of 109,318 fans at The Big House, Michigan which is still the largest audience for a football match played in America.

Man United’s director of football John Murtough, said:”Erik ten Hag and his team are looking forward to spending time in the US and preparing for the new season by taking on first-class opponents such as Real Madrid.

“Our players will relish the opportunity to test themselves against another top European side as they get ready for the 2023/24 campaign.”

United and Real will meet at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, on July 26 as part of the Soccer Champions Tour exhibition series, where six clubs will feature in nine matches across 12 days.
