Arsenal’s title challenge received a mortal blow as Brighton hammered the Gunners with three unreplied goals to give Man City the chance of retaining the Premier League title.
After suffering a 5-1 defeat at home to strugglers, Everton on Monday, the Seagulls responded when Enciso scored in the 51st minute.
The second came as Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale tried to play from the back but it backfired and Undav slotted in with a cool lob in the 86th minute.
Referee Madley gave eight minutes added time but the Gunners had already been drained by the two goals they conceded as the Seagulls were not done yet, and the third came in 90+6 via defender, Estupinan who was on hand to lash onto a blocked shot by Arsenal’s goalkeeper, Ramsdale onto the defenders path to send Brighton fans into wild jubilation.
As it stands, Manchester City, who have won four of the last five seasons, are already 4 points clear at the top of the table, and a win next weekend at the Etihad against Chelsea will see them crowned champions.
