Commandant General, National Unity and Peace Corps, Dr Chinedu Nneji.
President Muhammadu Buhari has been urged to sign the Nigeria Peace Corps Bill into law before the terminal date of his administration on May 29.
The Commandant-General, National Unity and Peace Corps, Dr Chinedu Nneji made the appeal at a news briefing in Abuja.
He said the Bill, which was harmonised by the National Assembly, had inputs from National Unity and Peace Corps as well as the Peace Corps of Nigeria, and argued that the legislation would create jobs and assist in promoting peace and Unity in the country.
“The reason for the harmonisation was to adopt one vision of the different bills which will represent the two organisations before the law,” Dr Nneji explained.
The Bill would also give opportunity to the teeming Youths to be gainfully employed, he added.
