$954,000 Alamieyeseigha’s loot to be used for projects

The Federal Government will use the recovered loot of $954,000 from former Governor of Bayelsa state, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha to execute projects in the state.

The Solicitor General of the Federation and Permanent secretary, Ministry of Justice, Beatrice Jedy-Agba announced this in Abuja, while declaring open the bids for the implementation of the projects on primary health care in the state.

Represented by Juliet Ibekaku-Nwagu, the Solicitor General said, the Ministry would only implement what had been agreed upon by the government of Nigeria and the United States of America (USA).

12 companies had already bid for a contract for utilisation of the recovered loot from the former governor.
