Minister tasks corps members on patriotism

Corps members deployed to the federal capital territory have been urged to internalize the ideals of integrity, patriotism, and dedication with the aim of adding value to national development.

The Minister of State, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Ramatu Aliyu made the call on Tuesday at the Closing Ceremony of the 2023 Batch ‘A’ Stream Two orientation course held at the   NYSC orientation camp Kubwa.

The Minister emphasized the need for corps members to focus on ways to impact positively on the social economic development of their host communities.

Hajia Aliyu urged the corps members to accept their postings in good Faith and reiterated the FCT administration’s determination to continually ensure the security of their lives and property.

The Minister, however, implored them to be security conscious and avoid unnecessary journey.

The NYSC FCT Coordinator, Alhaji Suleiman Abdul, explained that 2,849 corps members successfully underwent 3 weeks orientation course.

Some of the corps members Eniola Adebayo and Olanipekun shalom said they have learnt diligence, time management, discipline and team spirit during their orientation course and promised to put it into practice.
