Ahead of the Inauguration of the President-elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his Vice, Kashim Shettima, the Department of State Services (DSS) has warned those planning to disrupt the ceremony to have a rethink or face the consequences of their actions.
In a statement the DSS spokesperson said the Department is aware of the plans of some unscrupulous Nigerians to scuttle the ceremony across the country.
According to the statement, the divisive agents plan to create panic and undermine the efforts of security agencies at ensuring a peaceful inauguration.
DSS urged the Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), the Media and the public to adhere to the protocols given to them at various venues.
It warned all unauthorized and unaccredited persons to stay away from the restricted and designated areas at the venue of the Inauguration saying Nigerians need to remain focused and shun any fake news that are championed by unscrupulous people to cause tension and panic.
It assured Nigerians that the Service is collaborating with other security agencies to ensure a peaceful and successful Inauguration.
