Federal Mortgage Bank approves N8bn loan for Kwara

About N8.2 billion loan facility has been granted by the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) for the construction of over 2000 houses to reduce housing deficit in Kwara state.

The Managing Director of the bank, Mr Madu Hamman stated this at the official commissioning of 108 housing units built at Ogbondoroko area in Ilorin.

Represented by the Director Lands and Mortgage, Alhaji Lukman Mustapha, the Managing Director said the bank has approved about 14 other housing projects in the state.

According to him eight of the total housing project located in different part of the state had been successfully completed.

Mr Hamman said the bank is working assiduously to reduce housing deficit in the state and the country in general.

The Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazq, represented by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Yakubu Danladi Commended the Federal Government and the managements of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria for creating the enabling environment for the common man to own a house.
