An aircraft operated by Max Air on Wednesday evening diverted flight to the Kano airport due to severe weather conditions.
The aircraft which left Dutse Airport, Jigawa state carrying Hajj pilgrims to the Holy land encountered bad weather conditions and suffered a slight crack on the windscreen shortly after take-off prompting a diversion to Kano Airport.
In a statement, the Management of the airline said all passengers have been safely transferred to another aircraft to continue their journey.
The airline emphasized that the incident was due to adverse weather conditions and the prompt and professional response of the crew ensured the smooth diversion and landing, mitigating any potential risks.
The airline assured the public that it maintains standards to ensure the airworthiness of its fleet with international aviation regulations.
