President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of the Speaker of House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila as Chief of Staff, and Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, a former Deputy Governor of Jigawa State, as Deputy Chief of Staff.
A statement on Friday by the Director, information to the President, Abiodun Oladunjoye said Tinubu, in a meeting with Progressives Governors Forum (PGF), also named former Governor of Benue State and immediate past Minister of Special Duties, George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
DG NILDS expresses confidence in Gbajabiamila
Meanwhile, the Director General, National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), prof Abubakar Sulaiman, has expressed confidence in the ability of speaker of the House of Representatives (HOR) Femi Gbajabiamila, to excel in the new role.

He congratulated Gbajabiamila, on his recent appointment as the Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“The appointment of Femi Gbajabiamila reflects the President’s unwavering trust in his abilities to carry out this vital role and contribute to the development and progress of our great nation”.
A statement by Prof Sulaiman affirms that these qualities will undoubtedly contribute to the successful implementation of the President’s agenda, fostering unity, development, and prosperity for all Nigerians.
“As the Speaker of the HOR and my boss, as Alternate Chairman of NILDS’ Governing Council, he has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities and steadfast commitment to nation-building”.
