Obi tenders in evidence results of 8 more states

The Labour Party and its presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, have tendered more results of the February 25 election from eight states before the Presidential Election Petition Court, sitting in Abuja.

The results, which were admitted in evidence by the court, were from Ebonyi, Nasarawa, Delta, Kaduna, Imo, Ondo, Sokoto and Kogi states.

The Petitioner said he would adduce more exhibits before the court by Tuesday, in support of his allegation that the election was rigged against him.

Earlier in the proceedings, Counsel for the petitioner, Patrick Ikweto, told the court that his client had a fresh application for which he sought permission to be allowed to move on the next adjourned date.

Counsel for the APC, Lateef Fagbemi, had complained that he was not served the said fresh schedule on time, which was in respect of the results of the election from some states, and contrary to the schedule set during the pre- hearing stage.

Counsel to Mr Obi apologised for late service on the respondents of the schedule of documents his client intends to tender before the court.

The chairman of the Court, Justice Haruna Tsammani adjourned further hearing until Tuesday, June 6.
