The Senate has approved a request of President Bola Tinubu to appoint 20 special advisers.
The request was read by the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan on the floor of the upper legislative chamber during plenary in Abuja on Tuesday.
In the request to the Senate, the President did not give any names, however, the letter was read, and given speedy approval.
The President of the Senate Ahmad Lawan said it was urgently needed to allow the president have his team to work with.
The development came days after the President Bola Tinubu announced the appointment of Femi Gbajabiamila, as his Chief of Staff, and George Akume, as his secretary to the government of the federation (SGF).
