Many scavengers are reportedly trapped under rubbles of the demolished Daula hotel, in Nasarawa GRA Kano.
Eye witnesses confirmed that the scavengers were scouting for irons and valuables from the rubbles of the demolished hotel building.
Public Relations Officer, Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Yusif Abdullahi said his team had so far rescued three persons.
“One had fracture on his leg but his relatives have gone with him. Two left on their own after they were rescued”, he explained.
At the time of filling this report, two persons were said to still be trapped under the rubbles.
Personnel of the fire service, NEMA, police, Kano State Urban Planning and Development Agency, and others, were at the scene trying to rescue those trapped in the building.
The hotel was one of the buildings demolished last week by the state government.
