Protests erupt in France as Police kill 17-year-old boy

A French Police has killed a 17-yeal-old boy Nael, who refused to stop when told to do so by a traffic warden.

In a video circulating the social media, the officer was spotted pointing the gun at the driver of a car before shooting, prompting the car to stop.

Despite emergency treatment the boy did not survive the bullet wound to his chest.

Meanwhile, protest immediately erupted in Nanterre, the area where the boy was killed. So far, the police have arrested 31 people.

The officer accused of shooting the boy has been detained on homicide charges.

According to the BBC, Naël is the second person this year to have been killed in a police shooting during a traffic stop in France.
